Chandrayaan2's First Illuminated Image - ISRO's New Update
Chandrayaan 2's First Illuminated Image
Today i am very glad to share this post with all the viewers. Why because it is about our mission on the moon.
Indian Space Reseach Organisation released the first illuminated image of the lunar suface acquired by Chandrayaan 2's IIRS payload.Early on September 7, we are expecting a soft land of Vikram on the moon's South Polar region. But it doesn't happened. In turn it lost its control and crash landed there. All the communication links to the lander was also missed. Since then, there is no communication links to the lander, ISRO cannot be able to find what is the reason for crash. Since this is the case of Vikram lander but the orbiter is doing its job perfectly.
We all know what happened next ? We waited for 14 days whether we get any signals from the lander or not. In such time, after 20 days(approx) ISRO shared the first illuminated image of the lunar surface acquired by Chandrayaan 2's IIRS payload in Twitter. IIRS is designed to measure reflected sunlight from the Lunar surface in narrow and contiguous spectra channels. Lets have a look at that image.
While talking about this ISRO Chief Sivan said,"All going according to plan". That is avery good news for all the Indians.
It is trending no #1 in twitter. If you wanted to look at this tweet in twitter, click here.
This type of research of ISRO, is going to give the best understanding about the moon to India and the whole world
